The Five Thresholds was created in collaboration with fellow midwest artist Ice Possible. Ice provided his signature cast of kawaii, designer toy-inspired characters and graphic elements, which I reimagined and collaged into new visual environments. Together, the final works present the creative process as a journey through five psychological thresholds: Inspiration, Judgement, Entrapment, Resurrection, and Surrender.

The series is intended to capture the electrifying, as well as the unsettling, emotional and mental states that take place during the act of creating.
