Surroundings consists of two murals created exclusively from photographs of ordinary things found in my everyday life, many of them being objects I look at in my own home every day. Fun examples notable in the works include a crumpled piece of tin foil, a dumpster, my daily planner, and my Crocs acting as a cup holder for a can of beer (highly effective for hanging at the park).

My goals when I set out for these were to 1) find the beauty in everyday things and 2) do less dramatic editing, making just small embellishments to add twists while keeping the components raw and honest.
